VNET Summer Conference: Quality First Teaching – Booking Open!

VNET’s Summer Conference this year will be held on the 5th July 2019 from 9am to 3:30pm, and will focus upon Quality First Teaching as announced at our Spring Conference, and booking is now open for VNET Members.

We are pleased to be able to bring Mark Burns back to Norfolk to deliver our Keynote address and to help us lead workshops throughout the day. Mark has worked in a number of VNET schools over the years and is very highly regarded by those who have worked alongside him or listened to him speak. Mark has co-written the best-selling books Outstanding Teaching: Engaging Learners, and Outstanding Teaching: Teaching Backwards, both with Andy Griffith. He has worked extensively delivering and coaching on the TES Training Award shortlisted Outstanding Teaching Intervention in schools nationwide, and his own training programme – The Uncertainty Principle – was also shortlisted for a prestigious TES Award.

The full agenda for the day, including an array of other high quality speakers and workshop leaders will be finalised shortly and be made available here, but we wanted to make sure our members could save the date.

The day will be held at the Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia campus for the first time, and will have some joint and some separate content for Primary and Secondary colleagues. We will also be providing some space for quality conversations to take place, and would encourage members to bring with them on the day a senior colleague that they never seem to get quite enough time with.

We are also pleased to announce that car parking and a park and ride service will be free on the day – just one of the aspects of feedback we have taken on board from previous conferences!

Every member school or federation has two free places at the conference available on a first come first served basis until all 300 spaces are filled. So please reserve your places early to avoid missing out.

To reserve your places, please head to our event page and follow the instructions.
