There are less than two weeks to go to the VNET Curriculum Conference being held at the King’s Centre in Norwich on January 18th 2019, and we are so pleased to have been able to gather a stellar line up of speakers and partners at the event, which is now completely and utterly full to bursting with eager VNET Members!
Curriculum seems to be the word on everyone’s lips this academic year as Ofsted changes its focus this coming September and schools re-evaluate their work, but there is so much more beyond just catering to Ofsted that leaders and teachers need to take account of.
Therefore, we have aimed to bring together a wide range of experienced practitioners and thought leaders from around the country and from international schools to share their views on how curriculum change has impacted their schools or those they work with, and provide ideas and insight for VNET schools to take away and consider when assessing their curriculum this year.
The day starts at 8:45am through to a close at 4pm, with opportunities for networking and meeting some of our new partners who will be exhibiting at the event, as well as a packed agenda which will include:
Professor Daniel Muijs – Head of Research, Ofsted – discussing the research behind the new Ofsted Framework and insights into the changes ahead
Dame Alison Peacock – CEO, Chartered College of Teaching – discussing the role of evidence informed practice in the curriculum
Robert Campbell – Founder Member, Headteacher’s Roundtable & CEO, Morris Education Trust – discussing the role of leaders in curriculum change
David Mitchell – @DeputyMitchell on Twitter & Founder, Quadblogging – discussing technology’s impact on standards and the curriculum
John Baumber – Director of Education, Kunskapsskolan UK & USA – discussing how schools can develop a curriculum and pedagogical approach that promotes student agency
Daniel Sobel – CEO, Inclusion Expert – discussing the lessons learned about an inclusive curriculum from over 1000 schools
Plus, there will be a raft of our own VNET Members and Associates giving us an insight into their work right here in Norfolk.
It promises to be an amazing day, and we look forward to seeing all of our Members and Partners there!
