Following the success of our English, Mathematics and Science Professional Communities this year, VNET is delighted to offer EYFS practitioners the opportunity to work together in an Early Years Professional Community in 2019-20.

The Programme

This group will meet every half term, the agenda will be driven by the group and facilitated by Sue Brockhouse (VNET Early Years Associate) and Zoe Wood (VNET Early Years SLE)., starting with a launch event Tuesday 17 September 2019 at 1.00 to 4.00pm, The Mercure Hotel, 121 131 Boundary Rd, Norwich NR3 2BA

The Purpose of the Group

The VNET EYFS Professional Community provides an opportunity for sharing best practice, to drive forward continuous
improvement and ensure best outcomes for our EYFS children.

Guest speakers will be invited to share their expertise with members of the community.

The group will use evidence from their own schools to drive improvement, supported by ideas and proven methods from other members of the group, as well as some input sessions from Partners. At the inaugural meeting of the EYFS Professional Community we will establish what the Early Years’ Professional Community will examine throughout the year, topics may include:

  • EYFS planning
  • Policy
  • Data
  • Outdoor areas
  • Engaging parents
  • Partnership working
  • Outcomes for all.
