Personal reflections on the new inspection framework by Nick Butt – Free Seminar
September 18, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am
Are you preparing for inspection this academic year? This September marks the introduction of the new Ofsted Inspection Framework. It is now even more important to be able to tell the story of your school in a concise and coherent way. There are major implications for schools under this new approach, not least in how the curriculum is evaluated and how pupils’ progress is assessed. There is also a direct focus on the teaching of early reading in primary schools.
Whereas in the past inspectors would focus on talking to the headteacher and possibly a couple of senior leaders, now anybody in the school community could be interviewed. Pupils will also be interviewed more rigorously and a greater interest taken in the work in their books.
VNET is pleased to offer you a seminar: ‘Some Personal Reflections on the New Inspection Framework’ from Nick Butt
Wednesday 18 September, 08.30 – 09.30, South Green Park, Mattishall, NR20 3JY. Refreshments will be served from 08.00.
In this session we will:
- Help delegates to understand the key changes under the new Inspection Framework
- Show delegates how to keep control of the inspection process
- Consider ways of getting your message across to the inspector
- Provide delegates with some personal reflections on inspection in this new world order and what it means for schools and school leaders
Audience: headteachers, deputies/assistant heads and governors of schools preparing for inspection this academic year
NB Ideally there will be two delegates from each school.
Please book by Monday 10 September 2019.
