Poultec Training was established in 1997 by Edward Bales to offer work-based training and consultancy to the Poultry industry on a national scale. Poultec has subsequently grown and diversified into a wide range of training areas, including Engineering, Retail and Customer Service, Hospitality and Catering, Business Administration, Management, Functional Skills, Information Technology, Butchery, Speedway and Equine.

Poultec is based at South Green Park; a purpose-built complex consisting of a range of training suites, conference rooms, IT suites and a fully licensed restaurant. It has expanded to include a further building consisting of training rooms, offices and a Hair and Beauty training salon as well as a 7 metre high ropes course designed to build confidence and inspire team spirit. A range of outdoor activities including a mobile climbing wall, archery, Segways and Bocarts further add to the range of leadership and team building packages we can offer.

Whilst Apprenticeships are a significant aspect of the Poultec business, they are only one part of the diverse range of training packages that we offer, which includes stand-alone NVQs and a wide range of short courses such as Leadership and Management, Health and Safety, Manual Handling, COSHH and First Aid.

We ensure quality in all we do and consistently high results for independent FE Choices surveys reflect this. Furthermore, we are recognised by Ofsted as a good provider. Our reputation for high quality, industry specific training on a regional and national basis depends on our high calibre, knowledgeable staff and excellent resources.

Poultec’s learners endorsed the work of the organisation when we achieved either outstanding or good in all performance indicators during the Framework for Excellence assessment, which is based on learner views, success rates and finance.
